Hartley out of Red Bull Junior Team

It is currently being reported that Brendon Hartley has been dropped from the Red Bull Junior Team, a result of his continuing poor form in the competitive Formula Renault 3.5 Series.

While several news sites are stating his axing, the Red Bull Junior Team has at the time of writing, removed all reference to Brendan Hartley, even erasing his name from their result section.

At this stage his New Zealand management team has not commented and are waiting for the official media release from Red Bull.

Hartley has been racing in Europe since 2006, winning the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Series in 2007 and also finishing third in the Formula Renault Italia 2.0 Series the same year.

The following year  (2008) he finished third in the competitive British F3 Championship but his results since then have been inconsistent with very few victories.

At twenty years of age Hartley is still young and has experience that other teams may wish to tap into, particularly his time on the Red Bull F1 simulator.
