









The V8 Supercar of Matt and Dwayne Carter comfortably beat a formidable field for victory in the inaugural Altherm 1000 held yesterday (Saturday) at the Hampton Downs circuit, south of Auckland.
What was always going to be a battle between the Supercar and a large number of entered Porsche GT3's the Carters won by nine laps at the end of four hours of racing. Second home was the Alan Dippie/ Mark Maddren GT3 996 with the Cunningham brothers (GT3 997) third.
Fourth was the Evo 8 of John De Veth/Phillip Gill just ahead of Geoff Short and Shane Walden in an Evo 9.
