The elusive components which combine to produce great motorsport will be on display for all to see at the SKOPE Classic 2010, scheduled to get underway this weekend at Powerbuilt Tools Raceway on the outskirts of Christchurch.

Over 30 Pre 65 cars from all corners of New Zealand will assemble to celebrate 30 years of what is a classic class of racing in it's own right . As the name suggests, cars are from circa Pre 65 [making them at least 45 years old] and add to this the sheer variety of car makes and models and their physical presence on the circuit plus the varying engine sizes, from 1500cc Four cylinder to big V8's and spectators are guaranteed action packed racing synonymous with Pre 65 racing.

Three points races where handicapping will ensure all cars get a chance for glory will be rounded off with a feature Pre 65 race on Sunday afternoon. There is even a chance for spectators to get in on the winning action with the Kumho Banner competition providing the winner with a brand new set of rubber valued at $800.

The prized Sir Robertson Stewart Grand Prix saloon car race will feature just before lunch on Sunday along with a full race programme of 200 vintage, single seater, sports and GT and a wide array of classic and historic saloon cars.
