The two way battle IndyCar between Target Chip Ganassi Racing and Team Penske has continued at the Texas Motor Speedway with both teams drivers making up the top four in qualifying for tomorrows Bombardier Learjet 550.

This time Dario Franchitti (Target Chip Ganassi) won the PEAK Performance Pole Award presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts with team mate Scott Dixon third.  Ryan Briscoe (Penske) is sandwiched in between them while his team mate and Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves starts fourth.

This is Franchitti’s first pole of the season and his career seventh.  He gains a point for this achievement and is now second in the IndyCar Series behind Dixon.

Dixon, posted an average of 214.296 mph for his fourth consecutive top-five start this season.  Danica Patrick, who's seeking a fifth consecutive top-five finish, had an average of 213.929 mph in the No. 7 Boost Mobile/Motorola car and will share Row 3 with Mario Moraes (213.717).
